Checkers Tournament @ Main Library
If you’re a wiz at checkers and a Tween (8-12) come join us for our Second
Annual Checkers Tournament! We’ll have great prizes for all contestants and a
grand prize for the winner! Refreshments will be provided. Please be prepared to
stay the entire program. Age restriction will be enforced. Limited to 24
participants. Registration is required by stopping at the Youth Services Desk or
by calling 623-773-7562.

Acting Workshops for Tweens @ Your Library
A series of four theatre workshops will help young people with creativity,
movement, focus and thinking fast on their feet through theatre techniques and
improvisation. Parents may join the class the last 15 minutes for a
demonstration. Jim Gradillas, award winning theatre director and teacher, and
Artistic Director of Creative Stages Youth Theatre will teach the classes. Ages
8 - 12 years old, 20 children per class maximum. Registration is required. To register for
