In response to the continued decline in COVID-19 cases and rise of vaccination recipients across Maricopa County, the City of Peoria is proceeding with Phase Two of the city’s COVID-19 Recovery Plan, which will expand facility access and related services. The Peoria Public Library will continue to adhere to social distancing protocols and maintain pandemic-preventative measures, while gradually expanding services and patron time in the buildings. Peoria Library System Teen Take-n-Make – Shakespeare Edition Library: Peoria Main & Sunrise Mountain Libraries Date: Apr. 16 - Apr. 30 Teens, stop by your local Peoria Public Library and pick up a free Peoria Arts 'Shakespeare Swag Bag' (while supplies last)! Included in the bag is a 'Bard Libs' entry form! Bard Libs is Mad Libs with a Shakespearean twist. Fill in the blanks with your family and friends, write your name and contact information on the completed form and return the finished “Bard Libs” to the library to be entered in a contest for a $10 Dutch Bros. gift card. Winning entries will be chosen during the first week of May. Bring your own project to start or work on. Share ideas, help, tips, and patterns along with friendly and cheerful conversation. Beginning to advanced needle crafters are all welcome. Join us each month for our drop-in family crafts! We’ll have a variety of project stations for teens and adults! No registration required. Ages 12 and up, please! Sunrise Mountain Library Teen Paint Night - SUSPENDED Library: Sunrise Mountain Library Join us at Sunrise Mountain for a fun night of painting at the library! We welcome all teens to come explore their creativity on the canvas, whether you’ve never held a brush or you’re a skilled painter. We’ll be working with canvas and acrylic paints, so wear clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on, just in case. All supplies are provided, and space is limited to 15 teens! Back to Top Extras Peoria Library System Free Practice Driving Tests and Materials Library: Peoria Main & Sunrise Mountain Libraries Peoria Public Libraries in partnership with Driving-Tests.org, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, offers free Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) practice tests to library patrons. The service includes free tests specifically based on the state’s DMV materials. It is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that let users hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask portions of the screen for greater visibility on the practice tests.
