Library: Peoria Main & Sunrise Mountain Libraries

The Peoria Main Library and Sunrise Mountain Library will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 25*, and Tuesday, Jan. 1*. The buildings will reopen on the following Wednesday(s) @ 9 a.m. Library materials that would have been due on 12/25/2018 or 1/1/19 will not be due until the next business day(s).

  • The Libraries will close at 12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24.
  • The Libraries will close at 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31.

Family Night – Make Wreaths Together

Living with Alzheimer’s for People with Alzheimer’s

The diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease is life-changing and leads to many questions. What will this mean for me and my family? How do I plan for the future? Where can I get the help I need? Join us for this three-part program and have a chance to hear from others who have been where you are discussing what you need to know, what you need to plan, and what you need to develop and work with your care team.

Master Gardener volunteers from the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension in Maricopa County will be available to answer your desert gardening questions, including but not limited to plant selection, irrigation, fertilization, pruning techniques, pest management and problem diagnosis. You can bring plant material or insect specimens for ID and advice.

Free Practice Driving Tests and Materials

Library: Peoria Main & Sunrise Mountain Libraries

Peoria Public Libraries in partnership with, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, offers free Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) practice tests to library patrons. The service includes free tests specifically based on the state’s DMV materials. It is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that let users hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask portions of the screen for greater visibility on the practice tests.
